It is estimated that Canadian children spend close to 8 hours per day with media equating to about 60% of their total waking hours in front of a screen of some sort. Media is everywhere and it is not going away.
In an effort to help our children become media smart, we have developed public service messages, a 6-part video series and a downloadable poster that will help teach and give our children a better understanding of media.
In partnership with MediaSmarts, Canada's centre for digital and media literacy, we created a 6-part video series with accompanying lesson plans to help you teach your children/students to become media smart!

Over the last few years we undertook a pilot program called The Living Experience. The program was about using media as a way to motivate kids to become more active. We conducted two pilots: one nationally and the other in Northern Ontario communities and the results from both demonstrated that media can be used as a tool to encourage kids to become more active.
